3D Clear Technique and Cleaning Instructions

The Composi-Tight 3D^™ Clear sectional matrix system is the latest release in the long line of award winning sectional matrices from Garrison Dental Solutions. This system combines transparent and translucent materials to allow for trans-enamel polymerization. Now clinicians can apply their curing light from both the buccal and lingual surfaces without interference from metal matrix bands and opaque separator rings. This easily allows for proper curing of deeper proximal boxes and is also beneficial for clinicians bulk-filling Class II restorations.

The separator ring is a new and improved version of the very popular Soft-Face^™ 3D ring. It features the same tooth hugging soft silicone tip design that virtually eliminates buccal and lingual flash. The ring itself has been significantly reduced in size and is substantially more heat and chemically resistant resulting in longer ring life. These improvements have also made them easier to apply on larger molars.

Composi-Tight 3D Clear matrix bands come in three heights. 5.0mm, 5.9mm and 6.8mm bands heights are included in the kit all of which are .0020” thin. All three sizes have tabs on the gingival edge to facilitate easier placement and are contoured in three dimensions. Additionally, the curvature is enhanced at the marginal ridge to provide improved anatomy. Blue View^™ tinting provides excellent contrast between the matrix and tooth structure improving visualization without compromising composite polymerization.

New cure-through versions of Garrison’s popular Wedge Wands^™ and G-Wedge^™ interproximal wedges have also been developed and are available separately from the sectional matrix kit. Their new cure-through design allows for curing light penetration directly to the critical gingival floor.

CLEAR™ bands

•Blue View™ tinting provides contrast between the matrix and tooth structure without compromising polymerization.

– Polyester naturally resists deformation for easier placement.
•Enhanced margin ridge for improved anatomy
The occlusal edge of 3D Clear bands is carefully rolled over to help you recreate a beautifully shaped marginal ridge with minimal effort.
•Placement tabs allow you to ‘floss’ the band into place.
When contact is not completely broken during tooth preparation, matrix bands can be difficult to place. With 3D Clear, simply grip each placement tab and ‘floss’ it into position.
