Description

Garrison Dental Solutions is seeking a high-energy, organized, and relationship-driven Engagement Manager to lead our partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) - respected dental professionals who provide hands-on educational courses at trade shows and independent events. This role is vital to embed Garrison’s innovative restorative products in live clinical education, ensuring our speakers are well-prepared, properly equipped, and supported at events.

You will serve as the bridge between Garrison and our KOL community, attending events, coordinating logistics, tracking results, and helping generate quality leads and sales. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in creating engaging educational content through event footage and clinical writing contributions.

Primary Objectives:

  1. Coordinate support – either financial or through product provision - for 110 KOL hands-on courses and lectures annually, of which 75 will be sponsored and attended. The average sales goal per event is $3,000.
  2. Capture one piece of short-form educational content per event (how-to videos, clinical tips, testimonials) to be used on Garrison’s social media channels.
  3. Produce one KOL clinical content piece per month, focused on journal articles that the dental professional submit for publication referencing Garrison products.
  4. Recruit an incremental 10 new KOLs and 5 independent representatives per year to support the growth of the educational and promotional network.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing, sales, or customer-facing role, involving frequent interaction with organizational leaders, key stakeholders, or decision makers.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging with clinicians and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel to 30+ events per year.
  • Comfortable capturing smartphone-quality video content during events.
  • Background or experience in the dental industry, ideally restorative dentistry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with live course formats, dental trade shows, or clinical product demonstrations is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM and content collaboration platforms is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning & Support:
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of 110 domestic KOL-led lectures and hands-on courses annually, of which 75 will be sponsored and attended by Garrison. For the remaining 35, only supply products.
  • Create and maintain a centralized events database for team-wide reference and coordination.
  • Coordinate appropriate honorarium support for selected courses based on size and impact.
  • Personally attend 30+ lectures and/or hands-on courses annually, plus at least 4 key trade shows (GNYDM, CMW, CDA Anaheim, Hinman/Yankee).
  • Coordinate logistics: speaker communication, Garrison rep assignments, and manage internal shipping/return of kits and materials.
  • Process event orders and leads, assign them to OB Reps, and ensure timely follow-up and conversion tracking.

2. KOL Management & Development:

  • Build relationships with existing KOLs and recruit a net 10 new KOLs annually.
  • Review and update the KOLs presentations and present our key products and sales points to them.
  • Onboard and train KOLs on Garrison products to ensure accurate, enthusiastic representation during courses.
  • Coordinate with Sales Assistant the preparation, shipment and return of Garrison products for the HOC.
  • Conduct annual reviews of each KOL based on your documentation of each KOL’s performance; this will inform KOL development opportunities and prioritization ranking.
  • Encourage participation in product evaluation programs for new launches.
  • Identify 5 new independent representatives annually to support hands-on events as Garrison ambassadors.
  • Cultivate collaboration with key speaker organizations (e.g., Catapult, Rare Bird Speakers) for additional exposure.
  • Notify KOLs of Awards and Significant Accolades related to Garrison or its products.

3. Content Creation & Marketing Collaboration:

  • Work with eCommerce Specialist to create web pages for top Garrison KOLs.
  • Capture one short-form video per event to support Garrison’s social media strategy.
  • Deliver raw footage to the Social Media Marketing Manager for editing and publishing.
  • Facilitate one clinical article per month authored or co-authored by a KOL that highlights Garrison products.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Product Managers to align clinical content with strategic campaigns.

4. Strategic Collaboration & Internal Communication:

  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to connect KOL-influencers with digital campaigns.
  • Partner with Marketing for speaker-driven article opportunities and customer-facing thought leadership.
  • Build out and manage a Clinical Advisory Board, coordinating virtual meetings to review new product concepts, clinical trends, and launch strategies.
