After being in the dental chair as a teenager watching the dentist working on him in the dentist's eyeglasses, Terry knew he wanted to become a dentist! After graduating from University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1996, Dr. Watson practiced in his wife’s hometown in the Ozark mountains of north central Arkansas for 20 years. Dr. Watson has been involved in continuing education all his career honing his skills and special interests in dentistry. Dr. Watson is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, has been a leading producer of Invisalign in the state of Arkansas, has been an early implementer of digital dental technology throughout his career and a well known custom duck call maker where he brings dental skills into the woodworking.
Dr. Watson decided to sell his practice in Arkansas and moved to Nashville to pursue his love of Cosmetic dentistry in 2016. Dr. Watson has benefited as a promoter of extended functions for dental assistants in the state of Tennessee where he served as a Board of trustees member for the assistant program at Tennessee College of Applied Technology and later joining the staff at The Nash Institute for Dental Learning where he teaches direct composite placement using the Garrison full line of products for dentists and expanded function dental assistants. Dr. Watson loves working with composites and is a member of AACD, ADA, TDA, Nashville Dental Society, APDP, various other dental organizations as well as two local study clubs. When he is not at working in the office, Dr. Watson loves outdoor activities with his family and friends like boating, fishing and hunting.
A message from Dr. Watson: "The Garrison line of products is the best on the market! I have been using the Garrison system for sectional matrix usage from the first generation to the new Quad system. The double position of the ring forceps has been a game changer allowing for better visibility and ease of placement. It is so much easier to train assistants to prepare for composite placement for the doctor or for expanded functions or extended duties dental assistants to do the composite placement themselves!"
