- For deep, narrow pockets
- Sharper, slightly rounded tip (not sickle-shaped)
- A thinner version of the traditional and popular LM23 scaler
- Enables efficient and pleasant anterior and posterior instrumentation
- The thinner blade design allows for even better access to interproximal areas.
- Ideal angles and slightly extended lower shank provide convenient access to all posterior and anterior surfaces.
- For efficient and pleasant supragingival calculus removal from anterior surfaces and interproximal areas.
- NV1 SD sickle scaler has two different types of working ends enabling efficient anterior instrumentation:
- the sickle end, with two cutting edges, is excellent for removing interproximal calculus and stain,
- the disc end is effective for calculus and stain removal from lingual surfaces of incisors.
- For efficient and pleasant supragingival calculus removal from posterior surfaces and interproximal areas.
- NV2 SD posterior sickle scaler aids ergonomic calculus removal from all posterior supragingival areas.
- The heavily angled, long shank allow great posterior access, and the thin and long blades provide easy access to interproximals.
- Posterior scaler
- Shorter blade and longer lower shank than in the Mini Sickle (311-312)
- For all tooth surfaces, especially proximal surfaces
- Fine, slightly angled blade
- Sharply angulated shank and very fine working end
- Anterior/posterior scaler
- Delicate working end, elongated shank
- Especially for tight interdental spaces

Important Additional Cleaning Instructions
For most practices, having an instrument that never needs sharpening is by far worth being a bit more specific during the reprocessing cycle.
While LM DuraGradeMax instruments tolerate pretty much anything, LM Sharp Diamond instruments should be cared for little bit more carefully. To ensure the best performance and expected longevity, please follow these details (in conjunction with standard reprocessing steps):
- Avoid letting blood dry on the instrument tips. Human blood is corrosive.
- Avoid presoak and use of neutralizing / rinsing agents. Instead, gently clean and rinse the instruments with a non-metallic soft brush immediately after use.
- Do not leave the instruments wet or damp for any extended amount of time.
- All cleaning solutions should be neutral pH, always well below 10.
- Avoid strong and high-concentration citric acids.
- Do not use dishwasher salts when/if running Sharp Diamond instruments in dishwashers.
- Always check that instruments are fully dried in the sterilizer before storing them.
