Patient was referred to dental office to replace composite fillings with secondary caries in esthetic zone. It was decided to start the treatment with tooth 12 because of deepest caries lesion. After placing dental dam system, composite and caries were removed.
This article is a case report of a direct composite restoration on a maxillary anterior tooth where the proximal contact and incised edge position were developed using the Fusion™ Anterior Matrix System.
To manage anterior interproximal restorations, it is appropriate to use sectional or strip matrices (metal or plastic), which, however, are sometimes not easy to fit or do not allow simple management of the connection between the interproximal wall and palatal wall.
